   Built in 1718 next to a medieval inn as a summer retreat for Colombino Bassi, Bishop of Pistoia and Prato, Villa Vescovo is now not only a slice of history itself, but first and foremost a overwhelming destination, with the vicinity of the Reno river bringing an unforgettable touch to it. Past the extensive outdoor garden shaded by the apple and maple trees, on the bank of the river, guests can enjoy watching several local wild animals as deer, boars or night owls.

   Immersed in the greenery of the extensive valleys between the town of Pistoia and the Apennine Mountains, the villa is both a sought-after winter holiday destination and beautiful spot for a relaxing holiday during other seasons. The house is strategically located near the town of Pistoia, reachable in 20 minutes by car, through a panoramic countryside road, where one will find train and highway connections to the other major historical sites of Tuscany, such as Florence, Siena, Pisa, Lucca, as well as the beaches and countless attractions of Versilia, located at an hour driving distance. 

   The villa was recently renovated and fully equipped, with an emphasis on maintaining the character of the original structure, like the grey sandstone rock -“pietra serena”. On the ground level, besides the entrance, there is located a large kitchen, a well-appointed dining room for 16 places, and a spacious living room, which is separated by a charming fireplace. The front entrance leads to the first floor, where there is located a studio and three bedrooms, with en-suite bathrooms. On the mansard rooftop there are two bedrooms with private bathrooms, as well as a wide lounge, supplied with a pool table.

  Close to the entrance, there is available a fitness centre, which includes among others a 4-place sauna, maxi Jacuzzi (7 places) and a changing room for the swimming pool.
