   Castello San Gimignano has its origins back in the 1600s, being subject to various transformations throughout history, having new structures being added, and it is now a magnificent castle placed on the top of a hill with a splendid 360-degree view offering a real sensation to live into the soul of this enchanted site. Framed by a secular park with cypresses and box hedges, ponds and fountains, terraces and an encircling brick wall with iron lances, you will enjoy a sensation of privacy while having a quiet and relaxing holiday in a friendly and informal atmosphere.

   The façade preserves antique marble elements contributing to a historical atmosphere along with merlons around it, a few windows columns in the middle as well as a grate in front of the window dating back from 1400 on the ground floor, in brass and copper from a convent. The previous owner, Countess Theo Zorzi, married to Count Franchini Stappo from Florence, has painted several frescoes and wall paintings inside the house in the 1920s which are intact now, as the current owner of the villas has respectfully preserved all the art work, these bringing a slice of the original victorious past to our current times. The bedrooms have been decorated and furnished with great care to retain as much as possible from the original character of the castle, while each room preserves its own individuality at the same time.

   The main entrance is protected by a vault supported by four antique marble columns, with a white marble lion welcoming you to the property. A splendid marble staircase leads to the other two floors. An office with a working table and a sofa bed is located on the left, with a painting representing Sibille as background and a caisson ceiling also made by the countess. Close to it, once a stable, there is now a well supplied spacious kitchen, with a wooden bar, as well as large antique dinner table that seats 14 people, while an extra table and chairs can be added too. The near bathroom is supplied with a washing machine, dryer and a shower. On the right, there is a spacious tastefully decorated living room enriched with a beautiful antique fireplace, a sofa and armchairs, as well as a library. The garden is encircled by a low stone wall with flowers, with a charming small fountain in and there is available all furniture, umbrellas, a swing and a barbecue, while the lawn is well taken care of, so that it is the ideal place for gatherings to enjoy the incredible weather, panoramic views or swimming pool. Parking space is available as well.
